Traffic restrictions for Saugerties Garlic Festival

SAUGERTIES, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Saugerties Department of Parks, Recreation, and Buildings has released a set of traffic and parking restrictions ahead of Saturday and Sunday's Garlic Festival. Preferred on-site parking is available online. Get the latest news, weather, sports and entertainment delivered right to your inbox! Starting Wednesday, traffic will be restricted, and/or road closures will take place on Bob Moser Drive, Pavilion Street, and Court Drive. No thru traffic will be allowed during this time.On Friday, traffic onto Bob Moser Drive, Pavilion Street, and Court Drive will be restricted to those involved with Garlic Festival set-up, deliveries, and Permit Holders. Permit holders are asked to use their assigned gate as listed on their permit, and permits must be visible on their windshield or rear-view mirror. ST. LOUIS - Major road improvements are happening Tuesday on a main street very close to the new NGA West Complex in north St. Louis.The new NGA West campus is located at Jefferson Avenue and James Cool Papa Bell. Crews are at the north end of this particular project, which is focused on upgrading a stretch of Jefferson. Here, lots of cones and other markers are already out, as work should be starting shortly.Nick Dunne, a spokesperson for Mayor Tishaura Jones, told FOX 2 that crews will be milling and paving Jefferson Avenue Tuesday between James Cool Papa Bell and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Dunne says the work is part of a long-running infrastructure project around the new NGA West campus. The improvements include new sidewalks, medians, streetlights, bike lanes, and more. ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - The demolition of Jamestown Mall begins Tuesday. It's been an eyesore and safety hazard for years.Jamestown Mall opened in 1973. It was forced to close down in 2014 after years of challenges. Allumen Yoga, an infrared hot yoga studio at the edge of RiNo, closed this weekend after two years of business.Founder Madeleine Page said the studio at 2590 Lawrence St. hosted its last class Sunday, Sept. 24.“It’s tough for small businesses always, but especially these days,” Page said.Allumen, originally named Third Space Yoga, opened in the 3,000-square-foot space within the S*Park condominium complex in 2021. But, soon after opening, Page said she was hit with trademark infringement for the Third Space name.“That left us without being able to put the word out about operations – dealing with the rebrand, and the after fact of the pandemic, it was slow growth,” Page said.Page said the studio didn’t rebrand as Allumen until last November, and in between that time her founding partner left the business.“We faced a lot of hurdles that in the end with this space we just weren’t able to overcome,” she said.She said business was good after rebranding as Allumen, but she still owed back...Latest news
